The Academy of Medical Sciences promotes advances in medical science and campaigns to ensure these are translated into healthcare benefits for society.



Following the Department of Health’s review of arm’s-length bodies (ALB report) we have issued a second call for evidence to inform the Academy's review of the regulation and governance of medical research.
The second call focuses on the proposals in the ALB report with direct relevance to the regulation of medical research and provides all interested parties with an opportunity to consider the merits of a 'single research regulator'.
